Effects of black hole
Hey guys, get ready for the next trip with AstroMe.
Till now we have learned everything about black holes except the effects caused by them.
Cmon pack your bags, let's see what happens when we go to an area near the black hole where the gravitational force is not intense.
We know that the gravitational force near a black hole is very high compared to the force in empty space. Let's try getting into an area near the black hole where the gravitational pull is less intense.
In this region, the gravitational force becomes high around the boundary of the black hole and the force outside is less. This difference in the gravitational force causes the body of the person to stretch like spaghetti. Yes! You heard it right! This also has a name. Interesting isn't it? This process is known as the Spaghettification or Noodle effect.
Extra Information:
- There is a formula that allows us to calculate how long our trip will take to get from the event horizon to the singularity at the center I.e T=0.000015×M seconds Where M is the mass of the black hole in terms of our sun.
- The smallest and the nearest black hole found till now is the unicorn black hole.
It is found in the constellation of one-horned rhinoceros.
It is 1500 light-years away from the earth
It is just three times the mass of the sun.
They found this with the help of a companion star which is red and dim in color.
Here we come to the end of our black hole series.
From the very beginning, black holes are full of mystery. Some of the other ways doubts on black holes keep adding on.
So, here is the list of things we have learned so far:
Hope you guys enjoyed learning about black holes!
Shoot out questions in the comment box and let's learn together. Also, comment on which topic I should take up in my next post.
Happy reading!
See you guys on my next journey! Don't unpack your bags yet, we have lots of places to travel!!!
